Well, I finally went and did it. I caved.
Earlier this week I paid a visit to my local electronics store (rhymes with Future Shop) and bought an Xbox 360. I won’t even begin to get into the service we received at the store we first visited (rhymes with London Drugs) because it was not worth the time it would take to type it. For a new store, you’d figure the service would also be shiny and new…guess not. Try dull and uninformed.
Why did I do this? Halo 3 is why I did it (that and the fact that I love supporting local talent…I had no idea about the Mike Zak Halo 3 / Canada connection!) The Georgia Straight here in Vancouver also ran a great article on Mike and Halo 3.
While not technically a ‘gamer’ by definition, I do appreciate high-tech gadgets, and given the Xbox 360 Elite’s HDMI interface…it’s like finding audio-visual religion. All I know is that I don’t ever want to end up like the Blame Halo 3 guy (jamesatwar’s latest…hilliarious).
What about you…do you Xbox? (scary, it’s actually being used as a verb).
