brooklyn clothing

If you are a male, what you’re about to read will be really interesting. If you are a female, what you are about to read will be sort of interesting. So, to all of you, read on!

You may ask – ‘Who does this guy think he is telling me what I may or may not think?!’ To my defence (and yes, that’s a Canadian spelling), the answer lies in brooklyn brookyln.jpg(www.brooklynclothing.com). The brooklyn I refer to sports a ‘604’ area code (not 718) and is by far and away, the hippest, most on-point MEN’S ONLY designer clothing store Vancouver has going for it.

Now, I’ve probably offended some of you who pledge allegiance to other Vancouver clothing heavyweights, but trust me, once you step through the doorway at 418 Davie Street, you’ll find religion.

I remember my first experience like it was only yesterday (insert fancy dissolve visual effect here)…I was one diet coke short of calling the boys from Salvation Army and Big Brothers to arrange pick-up of my entire wardrobe!

Now, before things get out of hand, allow me this little disclaimer – unique, stylish and high quality goods (read: what brooklyn sells) come with an appropriate price tag. So, before you sit down with your bank manager or plan a renovation to your closet, you NEED to get into Brooklyn and talk to any of the helpful folks there.

I regularly deal with Jennifer, who’s got a GREAT eye for style and also has her own image consulting business – Image Smith (www.imagesmith.ca).

The type of service I REALLY appreciate from brooklyn is that they make suggestions on what they think would work on me (including what’s hot now and WILL BE in the future). In fact, on some of Jen’s calls I’ve received compliments for months afterwards when I’m outside the store ‘in the real world’. Thanks, Jen!

So, to all of you still with me…you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t make it down to brooklyn. Although I’m not a fashion expert by any stretch, I most certainly am a consumer and from me to you – check out how this place has redefined ‘how to’ and ‘what to’ sell when it comes to men’s designer clothing…full stop.

I’m pretty sure they don’t sell rastafarian clothes there.

this would be helpful for females nowadays given that the fashion trend (for women) is going to be leaning more on the masculine side soon.

Yes, that’s a personal prediction and yes, it is a correct prediction.
