cooking by numbers

23Oct07

As a kid, I was a huge fan of connect the dots games and painting by numbers.

Now that I’ve all growed up…I like to cook. How can we connect these dots, then?

Well put this in your mixer and spin it! It’s an ingenious little web site that Tom Tuke-Hastings from London, England dreamt up…and I’m impressed.asian.JPG

It has a simplistic and clean layout with some hefty back-end firepower to blast out suggested recipes for you based on a very quick survey of what you have in your cupboard and in your fridge.

I just got back from a few weeks outside of Canada and when I ran my cupboard and fridge through Tom’s gauntlet, it actually threw out some pretty tasty recommendations. With that, I’ve got some work to do.

I’m going to play around with it some more and see what comes out (especially after I’ve re-stocked the place).

Turn the dial to 375F and set the table, it’s time to chef it up (with dots, numbers, and whatever else).

T&D Rating: 4 gas ranges (out of 5)
