If you’re like me, a concerned pet (read: dog) owner, you only want the best for your four-legged best friend. Put more directly, when you are at work and/or otherwise unable to provide the care and attention your little guy (or girl) requires, you want to know that someone will; I found that ‘someone’ at dogcity.ca at 3458 West Broadway here in Vancouver.
Who the heck is dogcity.ca, you ask? Put simply, the best Vancouver dog walkers around, in my books. Here’s why:
Gallagher (my 1.5 year old goldendoodle)
is a pretty important part of my life (as I’m sure your pet is to you) and when he became too big to have neighbours (thanks Mark, Maria, Peter, and Karin) drop in to look in on him during the day, I had to find a third party to help me out.
After conducting a rather unsuccessful preliminary canvas of the Vancouver dog walkers market (read: I called some of the ones I’ve came across over the years….no dice), I found raincitydogs.com which was a virtual tickle trunk of information. For those of you not old enough to remember the genius of Mr. Dressup, let’s just say it, it had everything I needed.
After clicking through to dogcity.ca, reading a little more up about the Vancouver dog walking services they had to offer (including mountain hikes, dog boarding, dog training and free food delivery!), I decided to contact them to discuss arranging something for Gallagher.
I mean, really, how could I not, dogcity.ca has a company-branded little yellow school bus that carts the dogs around town…how cool is that?!
Within a very short period of time, the client manager for dogcity.ca contacted me with the forms I needed to fill in and once we had that taken care of, we could customize a program that worked well for me – and of course, Gallagher!
On the first day, dogcity.ca requested that I be home to meet the walker and to acquaint them with Gallagher…in this particular meeting the owner (Abby) actually showed up as well to introduce herself and to assure me that he would have a blast.
As you may already be aware, customer service is VERY important to me (read: that’s what timinganddelivery.com is all about!). Aside from their invoices being a little hard to understand at the start (which they have since corrected), the way that dogcity.ca has treated ‘us’ from my first contact to the present day has been very impressive.
Their focus on growing their business (dogcity.ca purchased the fomer ‘paws in motion’ store on Cornwall Avenue to strengthen their Vancouver dog sitting capabilities) and building positive relationships with their customers (not just the four-legged types), has made me very happy I found them.
How happy? Well, I’ve already referred some friends of mine to them and things are going very well! It’s nice to see good service pay off…especially when it counts!
