Would you rather look like the ‘after’ picture or the ‘before’ picture?
If you said after, keep reading…
Before you can appreciate what I’m about to say, you should:
- probably live in Vancouver; and
- check out my hadj post.
Ready? Ok, here’s the deal:
- after a hugely successful summer session (May through August), Hadj is taking on more people for the fall;
- classes will start at the beginning of September with an indoor location to be announced soon;
- training is outdoors at Hillcrest Park (near Nat Bailey Stadium) on Mondays and Wednesday from 6pm to 7:15pm; and
- cost is only $75 (minimum of 8 classes).
So from me (aka Darren…you’ll need that later) to you:
- If you’re sick and tired of the gym routine, awesome;
- If you want to see results in a VERY short period of time, still awesome;
- If you’re interested, most awesome; and
- If you’re ready to push yourself, stop reading this and drop Hadj a line here.
Don’t forget to mention that Darren from timinganddelivery.com referred you…
I’ll see you in class!

You can’t give enough props to Hadj’s Plyometric workout. Totally amazing. Unfortunately it’s only 2 and sometimes if we’re lucky 3 times a week. I love to workout so I find I still have to supplement Hadj’s workouts with some other “fun” core and strength types of exercises. A few fitness instructor friends of mine often raved about a Personal Training gym they attended called Groundwork Athletics. My instructor friends were not your average spandex wearing, leg warmer toting aerobic instructors. These are fitness professionals who not only presented classes locally but internationally. They trained in group training sessions at Groundwork and often used some of the exercises which they learned at the fitness classes. I thought I’d give it a try, and found the 1 hour Groundwork Athletics group Personal training, humbling as I thought I was in pretty good shape. I found muscles I never new I had and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere where you were getting “tortured”. The emphasis is on the core, agility, strength. On Saturdays mornings, they have a Circuit type class called “Afterburn” I’ve been trying to get Darren to go to which is totally amazing and worth a try. Groundwork’s group Personal Training is always in smaller groups so Troy, Jon, or Warren can give you almost one on one training. Check it out and their website: www.groundworkathletics.ca
i’ll get there soon, leon…i promise!
