hadj

Forget the whole concept of ‘bootcamp’…this review will take that to the next level…guaranteed.

I consider myself fortunate because I COMPLETELY stumbled into this…here’s the deal:

  • I’ve been training at a gym in Kits(ilano) for about a year and started taking some classes.
  • One of my classes had a substitute instructor one day (i.e., Hadj) who has built up a loyal following and each summer, teaches class outdoors 2x per week at a park.
  • I decided to try it.
  • I’m addicted to it…and am now in the best shape of my life.

I won’t go on about the class itself because that’s what Hadj does best. All I’m trying to do is let you in on what you need to know about - two things: 1) it’s extremely intense; and 2) strangely enough, it’s fun.

For a little background on Hadj (yes, I talked to him first), here’s what you may be interested in knowing:

  • He has been doing this for over 10 years and has built an impressive following…some members in my class have been with him since the beginning!
  • ALL of his members are there from word-of-mouth (no advertising whatsoever)
  • Having been a professional boxer for over 5 years, he knows what it takes to get in shape (and to STAY in shape)
  • He has worked as a professional trainer, including world championship fights in Vegas, Atlantic City and New York
  • He encourages people to push themselves (which they do), rather than forces
  • He admits that teaching is an absolute high for him and it shows…ask anyone in my class!
  • He’s considering running it after the summer.
  • He’s at hadjgill@hotmail.com

That’s all I really can say…the rest is up to you.

This kind of sums it up (his words) “[teaching class] is really giving a natural drug to someone and seeing them getting high.”

T&D Rating: 5 sprints (out of 5)

I think it’s about time, somebody decided to spread the word about Hadj. His class’s are tough, fun, and incredibly effective. As soon as I get back to Canada I will be getting back on track and know that Hadj will be chasing me around the field giving support.

I had watched Hadj do his class back when I was a member at Olympic. He always had the biggest classes which I called the Cult of Hadj. Had my own trainer at the time so I didn’t start training in his classes until a few years into my membership. I found out many of his students *only* had a membership at Olympic for his class. After Olympic went under I luckily stumbled on Hadj again when I joined kits workout.

This summer I joined it from the start when it went outdoors. Immediately it improved my other game, beach volleyball with better spikes and higher jumps for blocks. Although I managed most of the time 1 workout a week (other lesson classed with league volleyball), I had by the end of summer loss 10lbs, 2 inches of my waist and 4% body fat! I usually put on a little weigh because of all the summer drinking!

The great thing about Hadj’s classes is that they are as tough as you make them and he keeps changing it up so it’s not boring. You get a full body workout with lots of different athletic drills so it is easier to keep your heart pumping and much better for you than just running or cycling etc. We’ve got a fun group of people so the workout never seems as bad as it might:> It’s amazing what a little herd mentality and encouragement can do to help push through when you’re tired!

Hadj’s class is guaranteed to be one of, if not the best full body workouts that you will experience. Your strength will increase, your cardio will increase and your mental and over all well being will benefit from the routine.

I personally come from a weight lifting background and though my strength was good for the major muscle groups I found Hadj’s training to not only increase my major muscle group strength but also the other muscles and stabilizers that can never be trained at a gym like they can using his exercises. I actually found certain minor injuries I previously had go away after going to the class for a couple of months.

It is a great class with great people all competing with only themselves to improve. I encourage anyone who is in the gym routine to broaden their training and try Hadj’s class; your results in the gym will increase, you will be stronger, fitter and your endurance will be better each week.

Can I ask though - how did you get this picked up and into google news?

Very impressive that this blog is syndicated through Google and is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

Obviously this is a popular blog with great data so well done on your seo success..

Weight training greats you should write about next, my ex was a Weight training champ!

Who's linking?
