I thought that the pool at Kits Beach in Vancouver was big! Well, given what I found out today (see below), the Kits landmark looks more like a Mr. Turtle pool than anything else (with a slide, of course).
WHAT?
- Apparently officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest swimming pool (no kidding).
- 1 kilometre long and covers eight hectares (or 80,000 square metres, whichever you like).
- Contains an incredible 250,000 cubic metres of water.
- Just like Kits Pool, but not, it’s right beside the beach and the sea.
WHERE?
- San Alfonso del Mar, Chile.
WHY?
- I have no idea…but check out the Google Maps on this puppy…insane.
CUSTOMER SERVICE?
- If you find yourself in San Alfonso del Mar, Chile, this has EVERYTHING to do with customer service; if you don’t or won’t, it’s just cool (no pun intended).
