I wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a very Happy New Year! Whatever you ended up doing last night, I hope you dug yourself out and didn’t end up tobogganing home here in Vancouver.
I hosted a number of party guests and we had a blast. In fact, we got to talking about how New Year’s has transformed from an event where it made all the difference in the world to be at the right party/club, paying swollen ticket prices, and drinking incessantly whilst being seen doing it to spending time with friends usually at someone’s house.
Regardless, whether you tied a big one on at a black tie type of gig, or hosted a Dance Dance Revolution tournament with tequila poppers, it’s important to be in the right frame of mind before the clock strikes midnight:
…if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

So, for 2009, find your happy place, think of your power animal, always seek out great service, and be nice to your mom. The rest, comes easy.
