This pop reference may be a little out-of-place, but I really don’t care – for those of you who have taken notice of Beyonce’s call for action, and are looking for a place to make it happen in Vancouver, that place, based on service and pricing, has got to be Crest Jewellers.

In my view, and you can disagree with me on this if you like, when you are putting a significant portion of your income into jewellery (for weddings, anniversaries, or whatever), you deserve to be handled a little differently compared to when you are say…trying to book a hotel for your wedding. 

It’s a big decision.  And with big decisions, the customer service meter should be dialed up to ‘11′ (on a scale of 1 to 10).

Bit of back story here…Crest Jewellers (and Hanif Jina, one of the owners) have been making a lot of people smile in Vancouver for over 20 years.  So that’s nice, but that’s not why I’m writing this.

Based in a tiny shop at 329 Howe Street (at Cordova), Crest Jewellers specializes in three things (in my view):

1.  Diamonds

From design, setting, Canadian-sourced product, and prices that will make you happy you walked through the door, believe me.

2.  Platinum

Not only selection, but craftmenship is superb; working with Platinum is not an easy task…they made it seem easy to me.

3.  Personal service

I shopped around for engagement rings and wedding bands and while the ‘larger’ and more ‘marquee’ stores may appear to have you top-of-mind (not to name any names, or anything), Hanif and Crest Jewellers offer something I think those other stores didn’t do as well – made you feel like you meant something to them.  Remembering names, faces, needs, custom situations, and timelines is exactly what I got in dealing with them.  I couldn’t ask for more…I come from Winnipeg orginally, and ’we’ love this kind of stuff! (Friendly Manitoba…)

With a very strong word-of-mouth following (e.g., I was put on to them from Mike and later passed them along to Suzanne, for instance), Crest Jewellers has to be doing something right.  And from what I’ve experienced, and spent the last couple of paragraphs telling you about, they most definitely are.

If you’re in the market, I’d definitely give them a shot.  I’ll bet they’ll make it a horse race with whoever you are/have/are thinking about dealing with…
