250px-a_small_cup_of_coffeeLeave it to me to write about a coffee joint when in actual fact, I no longer drink coffee.  Please note that while I no longer partake in drinking liquid rocket-fuel, I once did and therefore I still need my fix of something a little less lethal.

I first stepped through the doors of Elysian Coffee, at 590 West Broadway, on a particularly muggy, hot, Vancouver summer day.  After greeting my friend and business associate, it became clear that I absolutely needed something with caffeine and ice, in a very tall glass.

Fortunately, the ridiculously friendly young gentlemen at the counter nodded in understanding when I asked for a brewed, green iced tea.  Let it be known I have had some inexplicably major issues getting this exact product from other, inexplicably over-priced yet popular coffee establishments in Vanbuckstarblenz, ahem, Vancouver.

After ordering my icy, cool beverage, I waited mere moments and the same friendly young gentlemen hand delivered the perfect iced green tea, with a straw, the faster to funnel cool, caffeine goodness down my parched throat.

With a lovely outdoor side-patio and wee tables out front, along with delightful munchies and free, fresh brewed coffee samples, its no wonder the staff are so jovial here;  I could barely contain my joy for the great service (and product!) at Elysian Coffee.
