Here’s something you probably already know:

Vancouver is a DOG city.

Here’s something you probably don’t know:

Finding someone to trim Gallagher (properly) wasn’t easy.

If you’re new to www.timinganddelivery.com OR if you haven’t already read my dogcity.ca post, you probably are asking yourself a couple of questions at this point, like:

  1. Why do I care?
  2. Who’s Gallagher?
  3. Where’s Vancouver?
  4. Who let the dogs out?

I’ll get right to it, then:

  • You should CARE because after much effort, I’ve discovered THE best ‘dog stylist’ (yes, it’s an actual title) around, regardless of type of dog – Deidre (‘Dee’) at fetch in Vancouver (Kerrisdale location)! If you have a dog…go there. If you don’t…get one, then go there!

WHY YOU NEED TO SEE DEE: I simply am amazed each time I pick the g-dog up after he’s been with Dee for a few hours…she’s pretty much the yoda of dog stylists, paws down!

  • Gallagher is my 1.5-year old goldendoodle img_2555.JPG and he’s been one of Dee’s ‘regulars’ for just about six months now.
  • Vancouver is a relatively big city located on the West coast of Canada…which is a lot like your typical big city (except it’s been rated the #1 place in the world in which to live a bunch of times…seriously!)
  • I have no idea who let the dogs out.

Aside from fetch being a really cool place to get your dog ’stuff’ (and believe me, if you own a dog, there’s stuff to get) Dee is absolutely amazing with the dogs. Gallagher LOVES going to see her (OK…it’s the treats she gives him after…but he really does like her too).

Here’s the paint by numbers:

You can reach Dee here or the old fashioned way at (604) 618.0187.

My advice: book early and book often (she’s got quite the little fan base).

The rest, is for the dogs…

T&D Rating – 5 bones (out of 5)

Really? Dee is good? I have never heard of Fetch. I have been to Bark and Fitz in downtown Vancouver. The groomer, Jennifer is the best I have found so far. Most people who live in Coal Harbour bring their dogs there. She is nice and friendly. I might try Dee one day if I can’t book with Jennifer.

My dogs have been groomed by Dee all the time. However, I am going to try Bark & Fitz. I live in downtown so it would be closer for me. I have heard lots of good things about the groomer there in the parks. I will let you guys know if the groomer is good or not.

Thanks Karen, please do let us know how it goes!

I’ve actually moved on to Yuki and her team at Woof! to try something different for Gallagher (plus, she is closer for us). You should check them out!
