Several years ago I received a gift certificate for my birthday for a “Facialiscious” facial at Skoah.

I know what you’re thinking…it’s just a facial, how good could it be? Well, it was that good. Seriously.

So good that I decided to go back and make a commitment to my skin, especially now that I’m moving beyond my “late 20s”. Today, I am happy to report that I have a personal trainer…for my skin. Her name is Tahni. You can find her at Skoah in Yaletown (1011 Hamilton St.) and she’s extraordinary.

In fact, here’s more about Tahni and why I like her so much:

• Tahni is incredibly knowledgeable; in fact, I’d call her an expert in the skin care field…but not like the department-store-kind-of-expert.
• She’s genuine and she has a knack for making my skin have “that glow” (you know the one I’m talking about).
• Tahni takes the time to get to know her clients and their skin needs.
• From start to finish, her skin care workouts are delightful…and I’ve never said that coming out of any other personal training session.
• She is quick to recommend the best products for your skin but doesn’t push them on you. But trust me, you’ll want to fill you bathroom cabinet with whatever she recommends because they work and they last.

Skoah uses quirky names for all their products, klearity mask, turbo tonik and mane squeeze shampu being a few that I can no longer live without. They’ve even got great travel sizes of most of their products so you can try a few before making the commitment to the whole bottle. And you’ll never have to throw out another bottle of your favorite lotion at the securities check out before boarding a plane…bonus!

So if you’re looking for a great Christmas gift for your sister, a girlfriend or even your husband (it’s a gender friendly kinda place) Skoah comes highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed. Oooh, happy skin!
