It has taken more than a few botched, bad, boring, misinformed, uneducated and hysteria inducing haircuts for me to realize that some stylists just don’t have the chops to come near my head anymore.

The only people who are allowed to wield sharp scissors near my scalp are the fabulous stylists at
Ignite Hair & Beauty Lounge at 628 Abbott Street.  Owner Nikki Nguyen has created an unmatched haven for hair and beauty in Crosstown.  Being uber-talented herself, in both hair and make-up skills, Nikki has hand selected a plethora of equally talented and ambitious hair stylists from all over the country.

Between Curtis, Diana, Christa, Kim and Nikki, I have never once been disappointed in my look.  In fact, I am always very pleased and often excited at the prospect of a new haircut or make up application by any one of the beauty geniuses at Ignite.

My latest visit had me just after a rather staggering dentist appointment and I found shelter from the shock of it all at Ignite.  The most affable Nikki and Curtis were there to calm my nerves and let me take it all out on my hair, never pushy and always suggesting my best alternatives while listening to my questions and concerns.  Because, if you’re like me, the hair is to be concerned about.

With everything from professional hair and make-up skills, including eyebrow tinting, creative colouring and Japanese ionic straightening, to vertical tanning, luxe products and private parties (including but not inclusive to, private therapy sessions…), at absolutely fantastic value, you’d be silly not to go to Ignite Hair & Beauty Salon.
