Hello Darren,

I enjoy reading your blog!

In January I went to the Italian Kitchen for a friend's birthday party. I loved the food, but unfortunately not the service.

We had a reservation, but had to wait more that 40 minutes for our table. They rectified this by serving us some complimentary champagne while we waited. This was a nice touch I must say. However, things went down hill from here.

The appetiser came prompty, but the wait time for entree was very long. Some of us who ordered only the entree were very hungry by the time our main meal was served.

Our server accidentally knocked over a beer which landed in the lap of the person next to me. Her dress was soaked and was given an apology and napkins to dry off. No meal comp or replacement beer was given. Big no-no.

To top off our experience, we saw the manager eating McDonald's take out in the foyer of the restaurant. This was quite out of place for a beautiful high end restaurant.

In short, the food was good, but the service? Less that stellar. I don't think I would make a repeat visit.
