leasebustersWith a title like that, you more than likely have a good idea about the topic of this post. So let’s get to it, and why I’m talking about LeaseBusters in the context of service.

You see, I have a car.

I also lease that car.

After owning that car for about 15 months, I’ve decided I no longer wish to have it.

So…I’m screwed. Or, so I thought.

With a wedding coming up later this year and plans to buy a house, having one car really makes more sense. So I looked at getting out of my lease.

Steering clear of craigslist at first, I went looking for other options – more targeted options. And, through a friend of mine, I had heard about what LeaseBusters can offer. After a whack of research (maybe 20 minutes) and a phone call with them in Mississauga, I was impressed.  To be honest, I wasn’t impressed with the $300 listing fee (which is unlimited until it sells), but that initial shock was dampened with the service I received:

  • Approach to customer service was individualized…Jeremy (who dealt with me) was honest and did not hard sell – muchos appreciados as I would’ve walked;
  • Assistance in uploading and describing the vehicle was first rate;
  • After-sales service was prompt and not in-my-face (appropriate call-back and check in times)

Given the tough economy, or some reason unbeknownst to me, after the first week I had zero interest (no calls, no emails).  Given the condition of the vehicle, Jeremy and his staff were quite shocked…and were determined to stick in this thing with me.  I think that says a lot about a business (read: if a business owner takes on his/her customer’s issue as their own, big points).

So, without paying anything extra, Jeremy and the leasebusters.com team have gone on to feature it on their weekly special page and have shown in around to as many people in the industry as he knows.

I didn’t ask for it. In fact, I didn’t know I could even get such treatment.  But I did.  And I appreciate it.

Just to be doubly sure that I’m getting any value out of it, I also listed on craigslist…no hits there either.  I guess the race is on!

Fingers crossed (just started week two)!
