Stereophonics fans (me included) will have something to be happy about this October as the boys from Wales are set to release their sixth studio album – Pull the Pin!

Unfortunately they’ve only agreed to a UK-based tour in November at this point, but I’m sure there’ll be more to come. I had a chance to preview the tracks (listed below) and believe me, they’ve packed a lot into it.
- Soldiers Make Good Targets
- Pass The Buck
- It Means Nothing
- Bank Holiday Monday
- Daisy Lane
- Stone
- My Friends
- I Could Lose Ya
- Bright Red Star
- Lady Luck
- Crush
- Drowning
Okok…I took the liberty of highlighting some of my favourites, but that’s just me…I want to draw your attention to things that I hope you’ll enjoy.

My favourites so far is their lead single It Means Nothing inspired by the London underground bombings and Daisy Lane which Kelly [Jones] wrote about a 15-year old boy that was murdered on the street where he lives for his mobile phone. Both are done in classic S’phonics ballad style and kind of remind me of Rewind from their last album (Language. Sex. Violence. Other.)
Bank Holiday Monday and Crush are also sure to become anthems for the masses (you know, the kind of song that makes you sing out loud in your car/bike/scooter/whatever). They kind of remind me of edgey B-side Oasis tracks, actually. So this…is a good thing.
So keep your ear out and enjoy! I know I can’t wait to see these boys again!
