There may actually be a light at the end of this telecommunications tunnel after all!

I have to say that despite all of the problems I’ve had with TELUS over the past six months or so, I’m very impressed with the service I received earlier this week…seriously!

Yeah, I know what you’re probably thinking…I’m crazy to have kept them around after my run-in with the TELUS customer service machine this past summer. 

Turns out, I’m not the only person who’s been hit head-on by the TELUS customer service train…check out what Steph had to say about his cell phone experience (yikes!) or what wselent went through to get local phone service installed in his new place.

As you know, I was waiting for the TELUS HD TV shoe to drop before I made my final decision. Well, guess what?  On Monday of this week, it dropped.  The technician (Chris Malcolm) TELUS sent to my place was perfect.  Why?  Here’s why:

1) he was quick and didn’t waste any time

2) he called me ahead of time to make sure he’d have the heavy lifting done BEFORE he got to my place

3) he arrived when he said he would (none of this ‘between 8am and 6pm’ run-around)

4) he added value by helping me set-up the TELUS HD box in the best place possible

5) he apologized for the experiences I had in the past (big points)

The result?  I’m happy…for now.
